Biafra: Court Grants Nnamdi Kanu Unconditional Bail

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mr. Nnamdi Kanu

Senator Iroegbu in Abuja

A Federal High Court (FHC) in Abuja has ordered the unconditional release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mr. Nnamdi Kanu from the custody of the Department of State Security Service.

Kanu who is also the Director of Radio Biafra was ordered to be released immediately by Justice Adeniyi Ademola.

Delivering ruling in a bail application filed and argued by his lawyer, Vincent Obeta, Justice Ademola also set aside an order earlier granted the DSS to detain Kanu for 90 days to enable the security agency complete their investigation.

According to him, the continued detention of Kanu after three months without trial, violated section 158 of the Administration of Criminal Justice (ACJ) Act 2015 and section 35 of the 1999 constitution .

Justice ademola also said that there was no law that permits the DSS or any other security agency for that matter to detain any nigerian beyond the period stipulated by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, when in actual fact there was no intention to put the person on trial .

"From the available facts before the court, it is clear that the DSS either enough materials to prosecute the applicant in a law court or yet to make up their mind on prosecution.

"Detaining the applicant for more than three months without trial runs contrary to Section 34 of the 1999 Constitution as amended, and such act must not be allowed in the interest of the rule of law.

"Constitution remains the supreme law. It does not permit detention of a Nigerian citizen for a period spanning over two months without charging the citizen before the law court. This court has the duty to protect the constitution and one of the duties is to admit a citizen of this country on bail when his right to freedom is being violated," Justice Ademola said.

The Judge however frowned at the claim of Kanu that Terrorism Prevention Act 2013 (Amended) was illegal, adding that the Act is a potent legislation fashioned out to check acts of terrorism.

"It is worthy of mention that countries like America, Britain, France and others have similar legislation to combat Acts of Terrorism. It is therefore not a correct position, to say that the Act is an illegal one," he said.

UNICEF: 16m Babies Born into Conflict in 2015

 Executive Director, UNICEF, Anthony Lake

Urges world to translate promises into action to benefit most vulnerable children in 2016

Kasim Sumaina in Abuja

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) disclosed on Thursday that more than 16 million babies were born into conflict zones in 2015, making one in eight of all births worldwide.

UNICEF noted that every two seconds, a newborn takes its first breath in the midst of conflict, often in terrifying circumstances and without access to medical care, a figure it said underscores the vulnerability faced by increasing numbers of children.

Executive Director, UNICEF, Anthony Lake, gave this hint in a press release made available by to journalist in Abuja.

According to him, "Too many children are now starting their lives in extreme circumstances – from conflict to natural disasters, poverty, disease or malnutrition. Can there be a worse start in life?”

"More than a quarter of a billion children – or 1 in 9 – live in countries and areas in conflict and face enormous obstacles to their health, education and well-being. More than half a billion children live in areas where floods are extremely common and nearly 160 million live in high or extremely high drought severity zones. Children represent almost half of all people living in extreme poverty although they make up roughly a third of the world’s population.

He said: "More than 200,000 children applied for asylum in European Union countries in the first nine months of 2015, adding to the 30 million children across the globe forced from their homes by 2014 due to war, violence and persecution. More people are displaced now than at any moment since World War II.

"In addition to conflict, poverty, the effects of climate change and lack of opportunity are making children increasingly vulnerable and have pushed millions on dangerous journeys away from their homes.

Lake stated that "In conflict-affected countries such as Afghanistan, the Central African Republic, Iraq, South Sudan, Syria and Yemen, or on perilous journeys to escape fighting, newborn children and their mothers face enormous risks.
Pregnant mothers are in danger of giving birth without medical help and in unsanitary conditions. Their children are more likely to die before they reach their fifth birthdays and to experience extreme – or “toxic” – stress, which can inhibit their long-term emotional and cognitive development.

MUSIC REVIEW: Burna Boy's On A Spaceship Fails To Take Off

Nigerian dancehall star Burna Boy’s sophomore album, On a Spaceship. Although Burna Boy has so far been releasing well-received singles, he seems not be getting the acclaim he craves.

In his interview with New York-based magazine, The Fader, Nigerian dancehall exponent, Burna Boy articulated his thoughts on the music industry: “It’s political, man—To be honest I don’t really feel like I’m a part of the industry […] I don’t get awards because the powers that be don’t really like me—I’m not like everyone else.”

He then went on, thumping his chest, reeling out achievements in the space of three years: “My music is a gift […] How many people have dropped a song like Soke, stating the problems that’s actually going on in the country, and actually stepping up?”
He reiterated this commitment to being a loner in an industry that has birthed superstars in the last decade including himself (which is somewhat puzzling) on Duro Ni Be—“I no get time to go award show/How me go go siddon start convo/With these hating industry niggas, I don’t know.”

Even as he offers reason- to focus on revenue over friendship- where his head is at is far from coherent and comes off hypocritical given it is the same industry that brought him from an obscure mixtape-slinger to limelight
.The ruckus he created over the 2015 MAMA nominations and Headies some months back is fresh in the memories of music fans. Surprisingly, the same award show- MAMA- handed him Best Collaboration along with SA’s badboy and BFF, AKA—even the AFRIMA.

When an artiste decides to alienate himself from an industry he feeds from, trouble lurks in the corner. Most acts who separate their art from the profit-oriented/exploitative industry hold on to their Marxist/nonconformist ideals usually are erroneously categorized as “alternative” artistes. Being an outsider trying to protect the art- in its purest form- unconventional, self-conscious won’t raise eyebrows, but when the said artiste’s lifestyle and antics go against such philosophy, it’s merely pretentious.
So, when he asks how many artistes have done conscious songs that rocked the dancefloor, it sounds like one living in his head and ignorant about the community he derides. Sound Sultan has being doing that for years. 2Face’s discography might be helpful. Not a new concept to Oritsefemi. Eedris’s Jaga Jaga got people dancing and a president’s reaction. So, what is Benson Idonije’s grandson talking about? For one whose granddad is a renowned music critic, history shouldn’t be out-of-reach.

“Na so e dey be for the streets, as e no dey sweet like biscuit and sweet/politicians dey sugarcoat bitterleaf/But as for me I go talk am as e be,” he sings convincingly and believably on As E Be, standing as a voice in this corrupt era.
Titling his sophomore album On a Spaceship seems like an ode to the spliff, and a dedication to his recreational activity and for those who love the toke—homage to igbo and SK lovers. Burna Boy has never hidden his Fela Anikulapo-Kuti-influence on his music, even to the point of performing in his pant at Felabration!

Was it not the late great that said:“The god of Africa created this herb to enlighten his people?” Sadly, Rizzla, Trance and Single bear no enlightenment for the common man/music lover. Smoke Some Weed in honour of the herb done pre-L.I.F.E was a better rendition, even the chilled-out Soke bore inspiration in the greenroom.

Burna Boy addresses the controversy surrounding “who stole whose flow”- claims that Flavour did steal Gba Gbe E for Phyno’s Authe- on Another One. It’s ironic he addressed plagiarism on a rehash of Timaya’s Sanko. Interestingly, Another One precedes a track that features Flavour.
Since his debut album, L.I.F.E, Burna Boy has gotten a telecom endorsement, stolen spotlight on features, gone on tours within and outside the country, collaborated with top African acts, parted ways with Aristocrat Records (following the expiration of his contract), released hit to good songs- Won Da Mo, Don Gorgon, Check and Balance- been embroiled in controversies upon controversies, signed an international record/distribution deal. The absence of direction on On a Spaceship is obvious, troubling—No Piriye ‘Peedi Picasso’ Isokari to handle A&R and executive production, no LeriQ- who understands Burna- behind the boards.

Of course, he dropped hits following his departure from Aristocrat and has done quite well for an indy act but dropping an album is another issue entirely. For example, a good A&R team won’t have let the Burna-J Fem efforts fly. J Fem produced five tracks, and the chemistry was absent between the two. Say Terry G hooks Bez with a mean beat, or Orezi gets in the studio with Atta LeNell? Right. As talented as Burna Boy is, he couldn’t handle the EP on this.
He starts the album badly, badly with snippet of an edition of Facts Only— renowned music critic Osagie Alonge dissecting the post-Aristocrat Burna Boy’s career. If an artiste wants to prove a critic wrong, he should at least have the ammo to go to war and win. But, Burna Boy does the opposite, shooting himself in the foot. You can’t hex or ether yourself off the jump!

Though Oluwa Burna, the second track, sees him firing on all cylinders to disprove Osagie and other critics, this moment fails to be replicated throughout the 20-track album.

“To the people wey want make I lose ‘cos Oluwa Burna too dey talk truth/And e don reach stage wey some people want to persecute,” he begins before telling off naysayers.

On The Realest, Oluwa Burna in his elements marks his territory for a certified banger—“anywhere the money dey, na there I wan’ dey demo.” Third time’s no charm on On a Very Good Day with Wande Coal following successes of Amorawa and Wanted (Remix). If People Must Die asks an existential question: “Lord, if people must die then why do we cry?” Death heavy on his mind like Erigga contemplates on Death Bed. Trap-inspired Birthday with frequent collaborators AKA and Da L.E.S, and SA rapper Kid X has Burna Boy’s gruff voice setting the perfect ambience for the song, something like a certain Future—one of the finest Trap experimentation by a Nigerian artiste in recent history; strip club connoisseurs and party animals can get the groove!
On On a Spaceship, Burna Boy is either too high on his high horse with an air or too spaced out to take flight- for his music to get to the top and elevate his career.

Jose Mourinho Wants 10 Year Deal At Chelsea

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has revealed he would be glad to sign a 10 year contract with Chelsea if given the opportunity.

Despite being linked to Real Madrid of late, Mourinho says a long term stay at Chelsea is not off cards.

Mourinho returned to Chelsea in 2013 after a three year stay at Chelsea and has won the League and Cup title (both in the 2014/2015 season).

Goal.com quotes him saying: “If Chelsea gives me a 10-year contract, I sign. I’m saying that the normal situation is when you have a contract, you wish to go to the end of the contract.”

Chelsea have endured a difficult season and already find themselves 14 points
adrift of the top four after 16 matches. They are also just one point above the relegation zone.

The reigning Premier League champions travel to Leicester City on Monday night in 16th place in the table.

Oyedepo Miraculously Removes Lump From Woman Boobs

A Facebook user, Endy Edeson, who was at this year’s Winners Chapel Shiloh has claimed that the presiding bishop of the church, Bishop David Oyedepo, miraculously performed a miracle which made a woman’s boobs grow bigger

The spiritual event is an annual one and this year’s started December 8 and ended December 12, 2015. Endy took to his Facebook to recount the event by posting this of his Facebook:

>>> When Bishop Oyedepo Prayed, Woman with Small Breasts Got Big Breasts Instantly <<<
Do you believe in Miracles? Continue reading to find out how Bishop Oyedepo healed a woman with small breast & Big Breast on Friday night at Shiloh, Canaanland, Ota. Wondering what I have been doing lately? Wonder no more, I took out time to attend SHILOH 2015, a religious funfair organized by Bishop David Oyedepo at Winners Chapel Ota. Shiloh is an annual spiritual gathering of Winners Chapel members, and anyone who wish to attend for healing and miracles. Shiloh usually holds around the month of December every year.
This year’s shiloh started on 8th December, 2015 and ended yesterday morning, December 12, 2015. It was tagged “From Glory to Glory”. It might interest you to know that the event was viewed worldwide. People from different countries came to receive their miracles at the event and I was also there to witness the Power of God in action.

On Friday service, I entered the main church building called “FAITH TABERNACLE” where the Man of God, David Oyedepo was preaching the gospel of Jesus. I saw him live in white suit as he ministered to over 1 million persons seated at the event and over 500 million worldwide.
After preaching, the man of God started performing miracles, he commanded witches and wizards to go out of miracle-seeking member’s bodies. He assured BELIEVERS that their problems will be solved with his thunderous prayers.
Immediately he finished his miracle prayers, he asked members to come and testify. Many members were healed, some were healed of fracture, deafness, blindness and bed-wetting but what I couldn’t figure out up till now was a member who claimed that her TWO BREAST wasn’t equal, One Breast was SMALL while the other Breast was BIG, as soon as Bishop David OYEDEPO prayed, she received her miracle and the two unequal breasts became 2 Big equal breasts. Everyone shouted hallelujah, glory be to God for such an unusual healing. They thanked the God of Bishop Oyedepo for healing her.

Charly Boy Admonishes Youths On The Aged

It seems with age, Charly Boy is going philosophical as he has words of advice for the younger generations about the older generations.

Charly Boy, his parents and immediate family

From birth, we begin the process of aging. All things being equal, majority of us will grow old. Thus it will be apt to say that aging is inevitable for us. So why do we as a society pay the least attention to this process. What kinda welfare system should we have in order to adequately take care of our aged, (The old people in our society/parents or relatives) especially the ones we love.

For three years before my father passed, he was never paid his pension. My mum is going through the same thing. I keep wondering, what if the financial or emotional means to take care of them was lacking, they probably will be like some of our aged pensioners who probably die standing in line waiting for their pension that never came.

I am of the opinion we are not doing enough as a society. It is deplorable that so many people work and expend all their energy and when they become old, there’s no one to really take care of them. In one episode of my radio show (Talk Junction), we talked about the need for parents to ensure that they bond with their children because we believe that children who have a close bond with their parents are the ones most likely to take charge and care of them in their old age. That’s the way society is meant to evolve. we as children should be the ones to look after our parents, yes it is the African way. They slaved and spent all their lives looking after us so it is expected that we in return should take care of them. My parents lived with me for several years after their retirement. My widowed mum is 97 years old and I can’t imagine her living anywhere else but with me. Being the primary caregiver and living again under the same roof with your parents is an enormous role reversal.

Charly Boy and his late fater, Justice Chukwudifu Oputa

Most of us living with aged parents find it difficult to balance our own busy schedules with looking after an aged parent so much so that sometimes it could be misconstrued as not caring. For some, it could be that the global financial mess, has left us thinking about self and our survival only. But this piece is about those who can but don’t want to. I am of the opinion that not just government but also the corporate bodies need to focus more on developing policies that protect this age bracket. In more developed society it is very easy to see a nursing home systems that caters to the old people but how effective can that be in our country. This is a place where most pensioners can’t even get access to their pension after retirement. Corruption has eaten so deep into our various systems that even the basic are not provided by the system. For me nursing homes are so impersonal and that is not our culture in Africa.

For people like us who don’t have the benefits of earning any pension, we are on our own. God forbid that in our old age we become either a liability to our children or worse still, a liability to ourselves. We have all seen the antecedents of government towards the aged and until a miracle happens, I’m not sure that will change anytime soon. I have never worked for anyone so what I’ve done is that through all the years, I have consistently put aside a monthly savings in a fixed account on regular basis which I haven’t touched for over 30 years despite sometimes my financial hardship. Planing, saving and discipline is the key to making the twilight years of our lives easier.

A lot of people wake up to the reality that after years of service, they don’t have much to show for it and that can lead to bitterness in old age. My summary on this will be to advice all of us to learn to cultivate the habit of saving for this phase of our life’s. We must imbibe the attitude of saving for the rainy day and our old age is the rainy day.

One day, we as parents won’t be able to drive, to climb stairs, or maybe even change our own clothes or feed ourselves. As painful as thinking about this might be, we need to prepare for our comfort and safety in the last stages of our lives. My prayer for us parents is to have children who will keep us company in our old age maybe take care of us with love and anything else.

Ka chineke mezieokwu.

Charly Boy recently shared his experience of catering for his aged parents by moving his parents to his Abuja home years before his late father, Justice Chukwudifu Oputa, died. His father was reported to have died in his house and this Charly Boy sees as fulfillment.

Groom Commits Suicide Few Days To Wedding see what happened...

A groom-to-be from China has committed suicide barely      two   weeks to his wedding.

The man identified as Xiaolei from east China’s Anhui province reportedly killed himself due to excessive pressure from bride’s family to pay huge bride price.

According to reports, he was first asked to pay 10,000 yuan and other gifts when he initially got engaged to his fiancé, Lanlan in December. But the bride price came to a total value of 30,000 yuan.

A month later the bride’s family had asked for another 20,000 yuan and more gifts such as cigarettes and wine.

Two weeks later, he jumped from a construction site in Shanghai where he worked just two days after the unreasonable request from his fiancée’s family.

Xiaolei’s parents are now accusing Lan Lan’s family of causing their son’s death. They alleged that he had complained of the “endless” requests for gifts and called it “extortion” and unbearable.

The late groom’s parents sued the bride asking that they return all the gifts and cash collected from their son including jewelry and an iPhone.

The court however ruled that all the cash be paid back but the material goods should be kept by the bride.

EXCLUSIVE: Kiss Daniels Releases New Single Good Time....

EXCLUSIVE: Kiss Daniels Releases New Single Good Time

Kiss Daniel’s new song Good Time is radio-ready, commercially viable and quite the right stuff for the African audience and listeners from around the world.

Singer Kiss Daniel
Good Time is soothing and heavily influenced by the renowned afrobeats sound. It was produced by DJ Coublon.

The drums are thumping. The saxophones, guitar strings as well as the keyboard notes are clear and piercing, fitting nicely with Daniel’s lyrics here and creating something of a yuletide hit.

But it is too early to call this a hit so we wait and watch, given the volatile nature of the Nigerian music industry.

In sum though, Kiss Daniel looks like one ready to take the music market here by storm. Scratch that. The young man appears armed and ready to take the global music stages by storm.

You look back at his stellar efforts in Woju and Laye, as well as his ace contribution on Raba with DJ Shabsy and Sugarboy, and you realize that in the event the lights dim for one of Nigeria’s biggest 21st century exports in Tuface Idibia, the future is not in doubt for our music. At least not with what Wiz Kid, Davido, Patoranking as well our man here have got going on.

Didn’t have power, didn’t have generators, studied with lanterns, but I never despaired. In spite of these, I finished secondary school attended the University of Port Harcourt and now hold a doctorate degree.

2. Our dear nation, Nigeria, has certainly come a long way and made notable progress since our first Democracy Day on May 29, 1999 when the military finally relinquished power and handed over to a democratically-elected government, marking the true beginning of a government of the people, by the people, for the people.

3. One thing that I know and I feel Nigerians will celebrate is continuity and peace.

4. My brothers and sisters, we are all winners. In this context there is no victor and no vanquished. We have demonstrated, even in our diversity, the progress of Nigeria remains paramount for all.

5. I’m not interested in 2015, because you and I do not know whether we will reach 2015. “The truth is, 2015 is really not my business and it is politically irresponsible for people to be talking about 2015.

6. So any President, whether it is Goodluck Jonathan or any other person, as long as you still have the opportunity to contest or not to contest, if you declare it too early, you create more problems in the system. If you say you are contesting, it creates more problems. So don’t force a President to declare his interest. It is not right.

7. Before the PDP administration, even directors in ministries had no phones! As Assistant Director, I had no phone. But with the PDP administration, now my mother has a phone.

8. Furthermore, under this administration, we have made consistent progress in improving the standard of elections in our country to ensure that they are ever more credible and truly representative of the people’s free choice.

9. Why should a lecturer in a state- owned university go on strike if Mr. President has done something wrong? The state universities are owned by the states.

10. Boko Haram is not as a result of misrule; definitely not. Sometimes people say it is as a result of poverty; definitely not. Boko Haram is a local terror group.

11. Boko Haram didn’t start in the last three years. Sometimes people talk about Boko Haram as if Jonathan is the cause of Boko Haram. I was the Vice President when Yusuf was killed, the so called founder of Boko Haram. And he was there before 2009. But it was not handled properly at the beginning. They allowed it to grow into a cancer and become terrible like crude oil stealing. But I assure Nigerians that we will bring it under control. It is a major challenge, but we are working day and night to overcome it.

12. There can be no doubt that what we are witnessing in Nigeria today is a manifestation of the same warped and ferocious world view that brought down the Twin Towers in New York, killed innocent persons in Boston and led to the murder of defenceless people in the Southern Russian city of Volgograd.

13. No matter what it takes, we will win this war against terror.

14. The war against terror may be difficult, but the days of peace will come again. Terror is evil; nowhere in history has evil endured forever.

15. Terrorism is not a phenomenon a six months or one year State of Emergency can solve.

16. We have a duty to stand firm against those who threaten the sovereign integrity of the Nigerian state.

17. Nigeria is the only country we have and we must all work to preserve it for present and future generations.

18. Nigerians are peace-loving people; these sad events perpetrated by those who do not wish our nation well have not changed the essential character of our people.

19. Yes, we have challenges but we will surely overcome. Nigeria is our country. Nigeria is blessed. We will all collectively protect, defend and develop this country for ourselves, and our children.

20. Over 70% of what are called corruption (cases), even by EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission) and other anti-corruption agencies, is not corruption, but common stealing.

21. Don’t misquote me. I am not saying we don’t have issues of corruption but that is not our number one problem.

22. Sometimes people take common stealing as corruption. A thief is a thief. When you steal money you are a thief.

23. Those quoting me as saying that ‘stealing is not corruption’ have not said that the President said stealing is good. Thieves should be treated as thieves. Do not use the word ‘corruption’ to cover so many things.

24. My political ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian.

25. Nobody’s political ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian.

26. No matter your political interest, you must place your country first. You must show some kind of patriotism.

28. Where there is no opportunity for one man one vote, there will be no accountability and no responsibility.

29. Our votes must count! One man, one vote! One woman, one vote! One youth, one vote

30. Democracy is a journey that every nation mindful of advancing the liberty of its citizens must undertake.

31. Any society or country that closes the vital valves of its democratic space cannot develop at a reasonable pace.

32. Democracy calls for sacrifice and tolerance, an open ear and a strong voice.

33. We must develop a democratic culture in which the will of the people will be treated as sacred and be immune to subversion by anti-democratic elements.

34. It is the supreme task of this generation to give hope to the hopeless strength to the weak and protection to the defenseless.

35. The beauty of democracy is that its practice is never final and always has room for improvement no matter how old a democratic society may be.

36. As we strive to advance our democratic development, there will be times when our will shall be tested, our patience provoked and our belief questioned.

37. Nobody should rig for me. I am assuring Nigerians that though I am contesting, nobody must manipulate votes in my favour. Our votes must count.

38. You have trusted me with your mandate, and I will never, never let you down.

39. On the football field, nobody cares who scores for Nigeria.

40. For the PDP family, the contest for party offices does not produce winners and losers.

41. I believe in the politics of give and take.

42. Election is like any tournament, FIFA says March, later say April or May. The winning team will still win. No big deal.

43. The dark patches in the Niger Delta will give way to light.

44. I don’t need to be a lion. I don’t need to operate like the pharaoh of Egypt, I don’t need to be an army general, but I can change this country without those traits.

45. I am not God, but I am more hopeful now than before in terms of combing the whole areas. We are working with our neighbours and we will comb the whole of that area. Just give us some time.

49. Where we falter we must not fall. When we are weak, we must not surrender.

50. Crude oil stealing is not done by poor people. Because, you need a vessel to lift the oil across the ocean to go and sell. And if you are to sell a stolen product abroad, you also need some connections because the refineries abroad don’t take crude oil from just anybody.

51. Politicians are instigating some young people to act in ways not expected.

52. It is quite unfortunate that there is a lot of wrong information in the system, especially in the social media & normal media.

53. I don’t have the time for social media.

54. We must not put money where people can take it, like we did with in agriculture with fertilizer.

55. Separation of power is not separation of government.

56. Our founding fathers did not dream of a country where neighbors and friends would exchange bullets in place of handshakes.

57. I have come to launch a campaign of ideas, not one of calumny. I have to come to preach love, not hate. I have come to break you away from divisive tendencies of the past which have slowed our drive to true nationhood. I have no enemies to fight. You are all my friends and we share a common destiny.

58. Cynicism and skepticism will not help our journey to greatness. Let us believe in a new Nigeria.

Chelsea Owner Roman Abramovich Still Trusts Mourinho'

the Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has full confidence in coach Jose Mournho to turn around club’s fortunes this season, club technical director Micheal Emenalo has said.

Chelsea has has a poor start to the season which sees them languish in 16th place on the premier league standings.
However, Emenalo (who is one of Abramovich’s closest allies at the club) says the board of the club have utmost confidence in Mourinho’s abilities to steady the ship at Chelsea.

He told Daily Telegraph: “When it comes to decisions, we feel confident we have an owner who has a very good track record, who is astute at making decisions of this kind at the right time to get us to where we want to be.”

“We have never put ourselves in a position where we second-guess him. Part of the reasons he can make those decisions and be successful is because he has the information that a lot of people don’t.

“He has the whole picture of what is happening at the club, not just from certain individuals but every sector of the club. When he needs to make a decision he can make it.

“Right now, the statement from the owner and from the board comes from a belief that we are in a position to trust a manager who has delivered so much. We are in a position to trust a group of players who have delivered in the last couple of seasons. We are in a position to see that there is light at the end of the tunnel and therein lies our confidence, that we can get out of the situation.”

He said: “He is deeply, deeply passionate about football and about English football and this club. It means everything to him and that is why he makes the investment and wherever he is, he finds a way to watch matches. He cares deeply, so when things aren’t going well it affects him in the same way it affects a fan.

“Right now what is he thinking? He is feeling like the rest of us who are fans. More so. He is feeling that his precious club that he supports is not doing well.

“I think he goes through the varied emotions of ‘how can I help?’ and ‘what is going wrong?’ He is definitely looking forward to the club getting into a winning groove again. More importantly he wants to make sure that we don’t lose what we have achieved in the last 10 years, which has earned the respect of the football fraternity.”

Why You Should Allow Your Man Cheat - Mo'Nique

Famous actress and comedienne Mo’Nique, who gained prominence for her role as Nikki Parker in the TV series The Parkers, has spoken on why ladies should allow cheat.

In an interview with True Exclusives, she said it is right for women to allow their spouse cheat.

Mo’Nique said: “The person that you stood up and you said: ‘For better, for worse, sickness and in health, richer or poorer’. You took those vows in front of the universe. If you don’t live by them, then maybe you shouldn’t have taken them. And when you say ‘a pass to cheat’… see when you’re with your best friend and you say to your best friend ‘I’m having these feelings about this person, sexually and I want to share it with you’ when you’re best friends, you can have those open and honest conversations.”

The Oscar award winning actress said most times people that cheat in a relationship or marriage do that because they are lacking something in that relationship.

Mo’Nique said: “Often times people cheat because of something they not getting. But when you have open and honest dialogue and you say we’re just human beings and all these people on the face of the earth, do you think my eyes won’t ever say ‘he’s fine’ or ‘she’s attractive’. Now if you want to go further with it, let’s be honest enough to have those conversations. What is it about that person that you find that you want to sleep with? Because they may give you something that I’m simply not willing to do. And if that’s the case, how can I be mad? Because I’m not going’ do it. Should I deprive you of not having it? That’s when the relationship is real real.”

In a brief chat with Vanguard, Omawumi said she will never forget the day her breasts were popping out on stage and she could not hold them back.

She said: “The dress I wore to the event has feathers in the front of it. Before I left my hotel room, I asked someone if the dress was okay and she said yes. I wore the dress to the show and when I was performing at the show, paparazzi took my pictures and released them. I realized that my breasts were practically pouring out of my dress, there was no way I could have put my breasts back.”
